Windies Cottage - Gundagai, NSW

Arriving at Kimo Estate just as the sun was setting, we followed the signs through the farm to Windies Cottage. We got the fire going to warm up on a cold and rainy night and waited for our friends to arrive for dinner. We spent the night spent cosied up in front of the fire playing scrabble and cards with a few bottles of wine into the early hours of the morning.
The cold and windy weather continued for most of the weekend, but we did venture out to explore the property and climbed one of the nearby hills through the sheep paddocks to take in the view of green rolling hills as far as you can see. We also visited Tumut River Brewing Co. for beer and pizza for lunch and continued on to the sugar pines where we went for a quick walk between the rain and hail before coming back to the cottage to warm up in front of the fire. Sunday started with a sunrise walk and a lazy breakfast before checking out and going bouldering just outside of Binalong above fields of bright yellow canola flowers.
