Day 4 | Tokyo

26.12.2016

First stop today was the Tsukiji Fish Market. As we walked towards the market we could see trucks, forklifts and bikes moving around outside, and had to try to dodge them to get to the wholesale market. Inside the wholesale market more forklifts, small carts and plenty of people crammed inside a warehouse with water everywhere and of course plenty of fish! You could easily get lost inside there. Outside in the outer market were more stalls selling seafood, some small restaurants, and shops.

After the market we walked through the shops at Ginza and then took the train to Ueno to visit the markets (where we had to get our photo taken in a photo booth!) and then walked through the park before walking and all the way to Asakusa.

The Sensoji Temple at Asakusa was definitely worth the walk, so many people visiting the temple and the Nakamise Shopping Street and with so much to look at we were definitely exhausted by the end of the day.
