National Photographic Portrait Prize 2022 Finalist

I am so honoured to have my image selected as one of 50 finalists in the 2022 National Photographic Portrait Prize. Congratulations to all of the other finalists, there are so many incredible photographs included and I still can't believe my photo will be sitting alongside them. 

The exhibition will be on at the National Portrait Gallery from 25 June until 9 October 2022.

Artists Statement

Just as I was about to return to work from maternity leave, I found all of my work suddenly cancelled as the state went into lockdown because of COVID-19. In isolation at home, I took self portraits to document the time spent with my four-month-old daughter. Alone but together as a family, isolated but also enjoying this forced time to ourselves, uncertain for the future but also never more certain in my role as a mother to my daughter.
