NZ North Island

This year was the year that the British and Irish Lions toured New Zealand. I have always wanted to explore more of New Zealand so when my partner and my sister's partner suggested that we all take a holiday to New Zealand to watch the games and travel across the North Island I couldn't say no.
Starting in Wellington we picked up our campervan and after Game 2 against the All Blacks and we travelled from Wellington to Auckland for the final game via Mt Taranaki, Tongariro National Park, Taupo, Rotorua and Coromandel.
While a holiday to watch rugby union is probably not my usual holiday, we had so much fun travelling in the campervan and visiting some beautiful places on the North Island. I have definitely added a few more things to the bucket list!
