Day 3 | Mt Fuji

Christmas Day! Today we got up early, hired a car and headed out of Tokyo for the day to see Mt Fuji. We saw the first glimpse of the snow covered mountain as we drove down the freeway and made our first stop at Fujiyoshida to visit the Arayayam-jinja Shrine.
From here we drove to Lake Kawaguchiko, and continued to drive around the mountain stopping along the way at Shiraito Falls and sunset at Lake Yamanakako. The mountain is so big that you can see it from almost everywhere around it, and as we drove around it all day it continued to change with the sun, clouds and snow.
Not the way we would usually spend Christmas day, but one we will never forget.
